As a small London based start-up, hitting the one year milestone is a big thing for us! Our community has grown massively over the last year and we wanted to take the time to introduce the team behind Nolii.
First up, we sat down with our founder, Asad Hamir to discuss his favourite products, what a regular day looks like and where his favourite part to hang out is in London.
Tell us a little bit about your role at Nolii and what a regular day looks like?
We’ve got some really exciting new products in the pipeline so working on those in a planning and development capacity is my main focus at the moment.
My day starts with dropping off the kids at school and then making my way into work where I tend to check in with our factories on WeChat. I kick off the week with a task list on a mind mapping software called MindNode which I add to throughout the week, especially after our Monday stand up. I break my day up with a walk, first to pick up a coffee at Kaffeine or the local Pret and then to Regents Park which is a stone's throw away for us. Throughout the day I’m in regular contact with our sales & marketing team to push activity forward and help bounce ideas off. I’m involved with everything from operations, partnerships, products and retail so there’s always something new going on.
I try to finish work around 7.30pm and head to the gym or for a swim. Swimming is something I’ve really gotten into after a holiday abroad this Summer. Definitely helps me reset. Once I’m home, I check in with my emails and then unwind with a Netflix show.
What’s your favourite Nolii product?
Set Battery Tangerine & Brick for me, with a Tangerine cable of course!
Talk to us about what #TechItEasy means to you?
Tech it easy is about being able to get more from your everyday with your tech through tips, tricks and great products. I think it’s intrinsically linked to how we live our lives, how we utilise tech to better ourselves rather than tech being this thing that provides more issues in your day to day.
