To kick off the second instalment of our meet the team series, we sat down with our Head of Business Development, Nick Fox, the brains behind our Boxpark, Shoreditch store. We catch up about his role at Nolii, how small habits can aid productivity and his favourite accessories.

Tell us a little bit about your role at Nolii and what a regular day looks like?

My responsibilities involve seeking out partnerships in distribution, retail or brand. Either B2B or for our store where we stock Nolii alongside eleven independent brands. I get to speak with all sorts of different sectors of the industry and deal with international customers which always brings new ideas.

My day starts with getting the dog walked and the children off to school. Then I can turn my attention to the work day. Before anything, I always go through my to-do list. Writing it at the end of the previous day has been a great habit to get into. My day involves a lot of outreach to people, either via video call, email, or face-to-face to find new avenues for us to get our product range into. Given that my day varies so much, another habit I’ve got into is managing my time through breaking my day up into chunks. Everything from minor tasks to bigger projects I break up in my diary. Google Calendar or Calendy have great tools for this. We’ve got a lot of new products planned for the coming year so I’m really excited for what’s to come.

What’s your favourite Nolii product?

Has to be the Couple Case with the Couple Battery - it’s so easy to use. Whenever I show anyone they love it and automatically want one!

Talk to us about what #TechItEasy means to you?

For me, it means having a healthier relationship with the technology that is constantly at the forefront of my day. From our Couple Fitness Band, which means I don’t have to think about my phone when I run, to the Ocushield blue light filtering products we have in our store to aid my sleep (which really do make a difference!) Even though I can’t put my tech away as much as I would like, at least I am making it work better for me rather than the other way round.

First thing while walking the dog, gets me set for the day by getting some fresh air.
